The Streets Ahead project is a £2billion, 25 year highway maintenance project that will bring up to standard the city’s roads, pavements and streetscene. It also involves maintaining the city’s 36,000 street trees. We would like to invite you to a meeting to learn more about the process we follow in managing the street trees and are holding two meetings on:
Monday 31 March, 6pm – 7.15pm
at the Town Hall, Pinstone St, Sheffield in Reception Room B
Thursday 3 April, 1.45pm – 3pm
at the Town Hall, Pinstone St, Sheffield in Reception Room B At these meetings we will tell you more about how we:
Look after the trees. Survey their condition and how often Identify that we need to replace a tree and what we consider when making decisions. We’d also like to talk about how we communicate with people about tree replacements and get your views about this.
We’re running the same meeting twice but at different times and days to enable as many people as possible to attend and understand our processes. We hope you can join us – please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Kate or Anita Dell on 0114 273 5981 to confirm your attendance. Please let us know your Preferred meeting date, number of attendees & contact details – including an email address if possible. If we get more applications than places available we will hold additional events.
Please contact us at the above details if you would like further information about the meetings. If you would like further details about Streets Ahead please visit www.sheffield.gov.uk/streetsahead or follow us on Twitter @sccstreetsahead.
