Post Office attacked!

Breaking news, the Thorpe House Post Office was attacked at gunpoint today at 5pm. The staff are unharmed,  although bruised and battered. 2 men have escaped and the story is that a third was taken down by Richard with a golf club!

We send our very best wishes to all at the PO and hope the police will track down these low-lifes quickly.

  1. My sister was hurt in this attack. She works there. Thank you Richard. I heard about your bravery. Thank god my sis and her colleagues are unharmed seriously.

  2. Thorpe House Post Office belongs to my parents, Hazel and Richard and brother Peter.
All three were left bruised and battered. My brother Peter was amazing and the main protector of the staff and Post Office, with the help of some wonderful neighbours who rushed to assist.

Even my lovely Mum tried to defend herself and others..

    well done to all x

    • Thanks for this. The police outside at the time told me “nobody was hurt”. I guess it depends on your definition. It’s horrendous that public servants should have to face this type of cowardly attack.

    • Hi Carol I play golf and caddy for Richard at Beauchief on Sundays I’ll have try and catch up with him on Friday next week and I hope your mum’s much better now
Well Done Richard Hazel And Peter for standing up to the scumbags.

      Best Wishes
